As in any sport, safety is the most important aspect. Please do not take this lightly as most accidents are avoidable and occur because of unawareness.

-You cannot hunt turkeys over bait
-They can only be killed with either a shotgun or bow
-Turkeys must be tagged immedietly within harvest and checked within 24 hours
-Juveniles are not allowed to be killed by hunters older then 15 
-Only one turkey is allowed to be killed per week
-Hunters born after 1969 must possess a hunters education card.

-Children must be at least six years old to hunt

-You may not shoot 30 minutes before sunrise or 30 minutes before sunset

-Always transport guns unloaded and with the safety on

-Always treat guns as if they are loaded and never point them at anyone
